The Village of Arts and Humanities is proud to join the Philadelphia International Airport’s Exhibitions Program.

The airport recently unveiled an exhibition featuring Village Industries, our award-winning, paid internship program for teens that combines art and justice with social enterprise to build self-sufficiency and actualize creative power. The installation features photos of our interns honing their craft in our creative studios and participating in showcases. You also get a taste of The Village’s Creative Campus with pictures of our buildings, parks, and murals, along with a vibrant backdrop spotlighting our colors, patterns, and iconography.

One of the major highlights of the exhibition is the film “This is Village Industries,” which introduces you to the program, our teaching artists, studios, and much more. It was shot and edited by Village teaching artist Brandon Holiday and features many of our interns from Spring 2023.

Our Director of Youth + Young Adult Programs, Brittany Holiday, is thrilled to have the opportunity to share The Village and Village Industries with a broader audience.

“We are honored to have this platform that introduces people from around the world to the magic of The Village and, more specifically, Village Industries. This program proves that investing in our youth, their creativity, and talents leads to amazing possibilities.”

The exhibition is open to the public now through June 2024. It is on view between the Terminal B and C Baggage Claim. To learn more, visit https://www.phl.org/node/2189.
