Saul Behar

Saul Behar has a wealth of experience as an attorney, senior executive and strategic advisor, having worked for law firms, real estate investment trusts, and corporations (both for-profit and nonprofit) throughout his career.

Saul Behar works as Senior Vice President for Advancement & Strategic Initiatives at the University City Science Center, a mission-driven nonprofit that commercializes promising technology, cultivates talent and convenes people to inspire action. Founded in 1963 as a multi-institutional hub that is collaborative by nature and design, the Science Center has the unique ability to reach across multiple sectors to inspire and lead a diverse and inclusive community of innovation and entrepreneurship that nurtures and scales economic development.

Saul joined the Science Center in 2009 as Vice President and General Counsel, and today leads all activities in the areas of public and private fundraising; government and community relations; workforce development; legal; and corporate governance.  In addition, Saul oversees the team that conceived and operates FirstHand, the Science Center’s STEM education initiative.

Saul has a wealth of experience as an attorney, senior executive and strategic advisor, having worked for law firms, real estate investment trusts, and corporations (both for-profit and nonprofit) throughout his career. He received his bachelor’s degree from Cornell University and his law degree from The University of Chicago Law School.  In addition to The Village, he serves on the boards of Reinvestment Fund, RF Impact Advisors, PolicyMap, and the Lower Merion Township Scholarship Fund.
