Kareen joined The Village of Arts and Humanities in 2022, bringing more than a decade of communications experience to the role. As Communications Director, Kareen is responsible for creating, implementing, and steering The Village’s communications strategy.

Before joining The Village, Kareen spent several years working at a public relations agency, where she represented clients in several industries, including nonprofits like the African American Museum in Philadelphia and The Enterprise Center. She previously worked as a television news producer, most recently at NBC10 Philadelphia.

Kareen graduated magna cum laude from Syracuse University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Broadcast Journalism and Political Science and a minor in History. Kareen serves on the Board of Directors of the Painted Bride in West Philadelphia and is a member of the Philadelphia Public Relations Association (PPRA).

Outside of work, Kareen enjoys traveling, exploring Philadelphia’s incredible food scene, and reading.
