Back to News and Stories

The Village community gathered on our creative campus last month to honor and celebrate the life of our beloved Ms. Nandi Mohammad. Community members, Village team members past and present, friends, and loved ones of Ms. Nandi came together to share their loving memories, enjoy a meal, engage in a flag-making activity, and simply pay tribute to this spectacular person.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for this lovely evening, and to those who could not make it, we know you were there in spirit.

Since Ms. Nandi’s passing, we’ve received so many beautiful tributes. Please scroll down to read a few of these messages and to see more photos from the celebration of life event.

I thank the Universe for sending Ms. Nandi to us all in her beauty, strength and courage.  I thank the ancestors for channeling her our way and now welcoming her into the forever.  I love her for her love of people, community and care.  I noticed how she listened, reflected and gave her voice to us in ways that were settling, deep and encouraging.  When she was in the room, I knew that somebody cared way past my own limited understanding.  She is heart, she is love and her spirit continues to lift…Be at ease, Ms. Nandi and I am grateful for you and your permission and door opening to serve. -Kevin
