Michaela Pommells

Director of Community Organizing and Justice Initiatives

Michaela has over a decade of experience as an anti-racist strategist, facilitator, and organizer.

She has worked at the grassroots, national, and international levels to engage and support directly impacted communities in using anti-racist mechanisms (dialogue, capacity building, storycircles, strategic planning) to advance justice, diversity, inclusion and accountability. In 2011, Michaela co-founded the Coalition for Racial Justice (CoRaJus), a capacity-building collaborative in Philadelphia organized to eliminate race-based disparities from an intersectional and multi-issue perspective. She has three children and lives in the Overbrook section of Philadelphia.
