Our Community Connectors are neighborhood residents who work together to increase our community’s quality of life. Our program seeks to connect neighbors with relevant community programs, resources, and events, and listen to our neighbors’ opinions and ideas to inform The Village’s and our partners’ services.
The Community Connectors program, originally created by LISC Philadelphia, employs community members to carry out consistent community outreach and engagement; our program also carries out creative /participatory research.
Our Connectors ensure that residents directly impacted by development can shape the planning and implementation of revitalization. Connectors Roosevelt Davis and Hakima Cooper recently, completed the Connectors’ six-week intensive training institute; asset-mapped our core service area; and are currently carrying out regular outreach to promote Village events and other community resources.
Do you have a community event or service relevant to the Fairhill-Hartranft neighborhood? Would you like to receive information about upcoming events? Contact Connectors manager Lillian Dunn or text “Village” to 797979 to sign up for our text list.
