The Every Zip Storytelling Block Party was a beautiful day of sharing and listening to narratives of Village family, neighbors, and top Philadelphia storytellers. We were fortunate enough to have Philadelphia’s poet laureate Yolanda Wisher as our host. She brought so much joy and gratitude! People’s Paper CoOp members Faith Bartley and Michelle Scales were among the featured storytellers. The event included music DJ’d by Village teaching artist Dan Dilemma Thomas, face-painting, food, and a recording booth to share your story. Thank you EveryZip, and thank you to all who attended. EveryZip Philly has audio available here from the day. Also, check out these event photos courtesy of Mario Rubén Carrión, and Nancy Musinguzi. Enjoy!
