With the generous support from the Pew Center, SPACES has welcomed Kwasi Ohene-Ayeh, an artist and writer from Accra, Ghana. During his residency he will explore our local creative power. He wants to meet local artists — all kinds, any as many as possible — and bring them together to collaborate. To do so, Kwasi will host a series of open mic events at the Village, open to anyone who wants to share their talent.
He will also host dinners for local artists, where anyone who makes art is welcome to come show their craft. At the end of the summer, he’ll build a team of people who want to work together on an arts exhibit showcasing the neighborhood’s creative power.
