Through all of its programs and initiatives, The Village is dedicated to collaboratively building a North Philadelphia community where every young person and their family has the opportunity to be engaged in cultural activity that fosters creative thinking, builds critical skills, and expands their view of the future. We deliver programs and projects under two initiatives: Learning Through the Arts and Building Through the Arts.
People’s Paper Co-op is an women-focused art, advocacy, and social entrepreneurship initiative, that seeks to transform the narrative of reentry — with, for and as neighbors to those most affected by the criminal justice system.
CRED Philly is a tri-annual arts and culture publication dedicated to amplifying the voice and vision of Philadelphia’s young artists.
Creative Impact Studios is our free, multi-level arts engagement program for youth ages 9 to 19 focused on art, education and advocacy.
PhillyEarth is The Village’s environmental education, urban farming, and youth leadership program.
A plan to fully utilize its campus of 8 buildings and 12 art parks to reinforce and expand its organizational capacity by hosting organizations, artists and creative entrepreneurs that share The Village’s belief that art and culture transform lives and communities.

The Village employs arts-based community development practices to create a vibrant and safeGermantown-Lehigh Commercial Corridor, promote equitable development without displacement, and cleans & greens more than 3000 parcels of vacant land in North Philadelphia.
One part artist residency, one part rapid prototyping lab, SPACES matches visiting artists with neighborhood residents to investigate our community's needs, identify its opportunities, and celebrate and amplify its gifts.
