June 13, 2012Chocolate, Wine and Cheese Benefit
Join us for the ribbon-cutting of The Village’s newest construction – a teaching pavilion in John & Kira’s Chocolate Garden, designed by Temple University’s Urban Workshop. Enjoy an evening of decadence in an urban oasis festuring chocolate by John & Kira’s, wine from Penn Woods Winery, and cheese from Shellbark Hollow Farms, then take home a clay bee or ladybug made by young Village artists. April 9, 2012New season of ‘Parent EmPower!’
Starting on April 9th, the 10-week enrichment course designed to nurture and educate parents towards better child-rearing practices runs on Monday evenings, 6-8pm. Urban Workshop, WellsAppel and The Village’s Digging Deeper project was recognized in an international competition. According to the competition sponsors, Design Corps and Social Economic Environmental Design Network, SEED: “The award winners and honorable mentions offer tangible evidence of how design is effectively playing a role in addressing the most critical issues around the globe.
